Our Methodology: How We Produce Our Research and Content

At Insight Syria, we believe that good decisions start with accurate information. That is why we approach every article we publish with the same rigor we apply to any research project for our clients: clear processes, shared responsibility, and thorough review before publication.

This page explains transparently who is behind our content, how we produce it, and the role of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, in our work.

Who Writes Our Content?

Insight Syria’s content is a collaborative effort involving two teams:

  • Research Team: Specialists in market research, public opinion surveys, and data analysis who conduct fieldwork across Syria and closely monitor economic and social developments. This team is the source of our ideas, analysis, and conclusions.
  • Editorial Team: Responsible for writing, structuring, language editing, translation, and publication under the supervision of the Insight Syria Editorial Team.

For this reason, our articles are published under the name Insight Syria Research Team, rather than an individual’s name, because each article reflects the collective expertise of the entire team.

Our Content Production Process

1. Topic Selection: From the Field, Not Search Engines

Our ideas come from:

  • Questions raised by our clients, including companies, organizations, and investors.
  • Observations gathered by our field teams while implementing projects.
  • The findings of our surveys and proprietary analyses.
  • Economic and regulatory developments affecting the Syrian market.

Before approving any topic, we ask one key question:

Does this content provide genuine value to someone making a decision related to Syria?

2. Research and Information Gathering

Our researchers rely on multiple sources, including:

  • Our primary data: Field surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus groups conducted by our teams.
  • Official sources: Government data, decisions, regulations, and legislation that have been publicly issued.
  • International reports: Publications from credible international organizations and research institutions.
  • Field experience: Insights gained through implementing projects on the ground.

We cite external sources in our articles whenever we rely on them, allowing readers to access and review the original sources.

3. Analysis and Conclusions

Our researchers analyze the information and identify the key insights, conclusions, and recommendations.

This stage is entirely human-led. We do not delegate data interpretation or the development of conclusions to automated tools.

4. Writing and Editing with AI Assistance

Our editorial team transforms the researchers’ findings into clear, well-structured content. At this stage, we use AI-powered tools within clearly defined boundaries:

We use AI forWe do not use AI for
Organizing ideas and structuring articlesGenerating data, figures, or survey results
Improving wording and styleDeveloping conclusions or recommendations
Assisting with initial translationsSelecting sources or assessing their credibility
Language proofreading and suggesting headlinesPublishing any content without human review

At Insight Syria, AI is a tool in the hands of the editor—not a replacement for the researcher.

5. Verification and Review

Before publication, every article undergoes a review process that includes:

  • Verifying figures and information against their original sources.
  • Review by the relevant researcher to ensure that the final wording accurately reflects the original analysis.
  • Editorial review for clarity, linguistic accuracy, and overall quality.

For our field research projects, we also apply rigorous quality-control procedures, including re-contacting participants to verify 20% of completed questionnaires.

6. Translation

We publish our content in Arabic, English, and Turkish.

We use technological tools for initial translation, after which the text is reviewed by a qualified member of our editorial team to ensure accuracy of meaning, terminology, and suitability for the intended audience.

7. Updates and Corrections

The Syrian market is changing rapidly. Therefore:

  • We review our articles regularly and update information that may have changed.
  • We correct errors as soon as they are identified, and when a correction is significant, we clearly indicate it within the article.
  • We welcome your feedback. If you find inaccurate information or believe that an article requires correction, please contact us at info@insightsyria.com.

Independence and Privacy

Independence

We strive to ensure that our content reflects an objective analysis of data, free from political or commercial influence.

When an article or research publication is sponsored, commissioned, or supported by an external party, we clearly disclose this to our readers.

Participant Protection

We maintain the confidentiality of data collected from participants in our surveys and interviews.

We do not publish information that could reveal the identity of individual participants. Research findings are presented in aggregated form whenever possible, and personal information is handled with appropriate confidentiality and data-protection measures.

Our Commitment

Our goal is not simply to publish more content. It is to provide reliable information, evidence-based analysis, and practical insights that help businesses, organizations, investors, researchers, and decision-makers better understand Syria.

We believe that trustworthy research requires more than technology. It requires people who understand the field, transparent methodology, responsible analysis, and a commitment to verifying what we publish.

That is the standard we aim to maintain at Insight Syria.
